We Energies buying a piece of Iowa County solar farm

We Energies will spend $129.9 million joining its sister company Wisconsin Public Service Corp. in buying one-third of a planned utility-scale solar electric generation farm in southwest Wisconsin.

Both companies are owned by Milwaukee-based WEC Energy Group (NYSE: WEC), which previously announced Green Bay-based Wisconsin Public Service would acquire part of the Badger Hollow Farm in Iowa County.
