Wind Harvest gets funding to test its near-ground wind technology

Sacramento-based near-ground wind turbine technology company Wind Harvest International Inc. has raised twice the minimum investment it needs to test and validate its technology.

The company needed at least $150,000 to order a low-ground wind turbine built to its specifications for testing, and it so far has raised $374,417 on the San Francisco-based equity crowdfunding site Wefunder.
