Worker dies in accident at Consol Energy mine

A 25-year-old Consol Energy Inc. employee died Thursday night in an accident at the Enlow Fork Mine in Washington County.

Tanner Lee McFarland of Washington, Pennsylvania, died around 9 p.m. Thursday when a side coal seam fell out and pinned him against a wall, a source told the Business Times. An investigation is ongoing.

McFarland, a section supervisor, had been with Consol for several years. He was married with a child and another on the way.
