The 15 clean energy companies on this week’s list employ a total of 107,209 people and offer products ranging from Tesla Powerwall installations to solar system sales.
They are part of an industry that is the focus of “California’s ambitious climate goals,” according to the California Energy Commission. One such example is the executive order signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom in September of last year, which said that by 2035 all new cars and trucks sold in the state must be zero-emission vehicles.
