Ameren Missouri looks to raise bills by average of $12 a month

Ameren Missouri (NYSE: AEE) is looking for an annual rate increase of $299 million, or an average of $12 a month for a residential customer.

The utility said it’s seeking the increase due to investments being made in its “Smart Energy Plan,” plus the addition of two wind production facilities. It closed on the facilities, in Atchison County and Adair and Schuyler counties, in recent months.
