Colorado’s newest oil company eyes solar, EVs as it aims to become net-zero

A lot will look different about the business when three Denver oil and gas companies combine to create Civitas Resources — especially their push to combat climate change.

The company pledges to become carbon neutral, to eliminate as many greenhouse gas emissions from its wells and pipelines as possible and then take other measures to offset the emissions that remain.
