Executive returns to Westinghouse Electric as CTO following government post

Westinghouse Electric Company has appointed Rita Baranwal as chief technology officer, an assignment that marks her return to the company where she worked for nearly a decade after a two-year stint with the U.S. Department of Energy.

In her new position, Baranwal will lead the company’s global research and development investments and spearhead a technology strategy to advance the company’s nuclear solutions.
