Marathon Petroleum in talks to sell subsidiary (again)

After recently postponing the spinoff of its Speedway gas stations, Findlay, Ohio-based Marathon Petroleum Corp. (NYSE: MPC) is again in talks to sell the subsidiary.

Possible buyers include Canada’s Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc., which operates about 14,800 convenience stores worldwide, including 10,000 in North America, reported The Wall Street Journal, citing named sources familiar with the matter. Couche-Tard bought San Antonio-based CST in 2016.
