Xcel Energy approved for $750M wind-power project

Xcel Energy Inc. gained approval Wednesday for a $750 million wind farm project that’s meant to aid Minnesota’s economic recovery from the pandemic.

The Star Tribune reported that the Public Utilities Commission approved the plan, which Xcel said will make its wind farms more efficient and save ratepayers $160 million over 25 years.
