Georgia Power: Plant Vogtle still on budget and on schedule

The $25 billion Plant Vogtle nuclear expansion remains on budget and on schedule, Georgia Power Co. reported Friday in a construction update filed with the state Public Service Commission.

The Atlanta-based utility is asking the PSC to approve $1.25 billion in project costs incurred between July 1 of last year and June 30 of this year. That brings Georgia Power’s share in the project up to $8.4 billion, with 79% of the work complete.
