NuStar, which has a huge Portland terminal, closes California facility to assess fire damage

NuStar Energy LP’s largest terminal on the West Coast remains closed after a fire affecting two tanks on Tuesday afternoon.

Two storage tanks in Crockett, California, caught fire after 2 p.m. local time, according to posts on the social media feeds of the Contra Costa County Fire Department. The tanks contained ethanol and were at less than 1% capacity, or 3,000 barrels each, NuStar (NYSE: NS) spokeswoman Mary Rose Brown said.
